IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is a form of synchronous text-based communication used by many Open Source projects.
The #teachingopensource channel on the Freenode IRC network is a place to discuss the challenges of teaching Open Source live with others around the world.

The #teachingopensource channel is available 24x7 for discussions. At certain times, we'll use the channel to hold IRC meetings. The date/time of future and past meetings are shown in this table, as well as a link to the agenda and log.
